About The Showcase

Following the success of our June and October showcases, we’re thrilled to announce Design Joburg Collective 2022. Once again backed by headline sponsors Sanlam Private Wealth, and presented in association with SA Tourism, #DJC22 will be held from 19 to 21 May 2022.

DJC’s geographical footprint will again include satellite sites at Victoria Yards and 44 Stanley.

The Kramerville Design District proved the quintessential arena for the show’s debut and will remain the main pivot for the free-to-attend showcase of the brightest of local and global design players across the disciplines.

The organisers are taking full advantage of all three districts indoor-outdoor layouts, carefully planning their exhibits, installations, pop-ups and activations to follow suit.

Visitors can expect even more design-centric installations peppered throughout the various district including the return of DJC’s sought-after pop-ups.

The two sister-districts, 44 Stanley and Victoria Yards, will also be hosting various art exhibitions and activations, promising to be a city-wide celebration of culture and creativity!

Over the years, the showcase’s talks programme has continued to be a hit with both trade and consumer visitors and the #DJC22 iteration is set to up the ante with many showrooms and studios hosting insightful and inspirational talks by industry stalwarts, rising stars and luminaries.

Remember that the show offers a complimentary tuk-tuk service for your convenience (and enjoyment) that will ferry you around Kramerville. Visitors are encouraged to also use Uber between all three venues.

#DJC22: In Compliance with Covid-19 Protocols

Design Joburg Collective is largely an outdoor showcase, well aligned and compliant with the proposed government Covid-19 guidelines. Individual showrooms and studios will continue to comply with gathering restrictions with regards the number of visitors (with adherence to mask wearing, sanitising, and ventilation).

We look forward to confidently and safely bringing the décor and design industry – and their supporters – together come 19 to 21 May 2022.
